4-7 -This weekend
we decided to try and tackle the kitchen cabinets to get a
feel for how we will eventually want the kitchen arranged.
Keep in mind this is all a temporary setup until we can level
the floors, redo the side walls and add new windows. (Just
to name a few things that need to be done first!) This will
probably get done next spring so meanwhile we decide to do
the grunt work! Our labor is cheaper than paying someone else
to do all this prep work!

Kitchen and bathroom way back in early winter

Starting to remove cabinets.
There are so many
layers of stuff to remove! Iknow there is a window hidden
under there somewhere-it hasn't been uncovered since 1921.

See I told you it was there.

Oak flooring being removed and about 5 layers of old linoleum.
Under that was a layer of 1920's magazines that were tacked
down with millions of small nails. I sat for hours just pulling
them out with pliers

New "temporary layout".
