Hamilton Project-page 8

July 22-23 We stayed home to celebrate Femi Ann's and Jenny's birthdays. The big 30 !

July 28-31 On Friday we were able to get the part for the backhoe that Karl needed (something that broke off when it was stuck in the mud). That evening I had fun at another auction while Karl worked on his toy. Saturday was not a very good day for either of us! He couldn't start the backhoe because of all the rain/dampness. I quess old machines are just like us old folks-cranky and fussy about the weather! He spent most of Saturday trying with no luck. We had two heavy thunder showers during the day so it was hard to plan any outside work. I started on a new project refinishing the chairs I had bought at an auction a few weeks earlier. I was able to finish two of them and then ran out of stripper. Out of extreme frustration at not knowing what to work on, I finally decided that I needed to release some stress and started knocking out more walls! The old house has never seen so much daylight in over 100 years!

Me starting with the door.

This shows one window and door taken out.

9Looking out from kitchen to porch.

You can see into what will be the living/dinning room.
